← Back to the lineupArchitecture — Master

The full signal path, no black box.

This page covers Master specifically, the plugin available today. Everything below describes what it and its backend actually do, not a roadmap. For what's still missing, see the status page, and for the rest of the lineup, see the products.

The chain

One rolling buffer, one path, in this order.

Input

Your channel, untouched

Gate

Clean up bleed & noise floor

Parametric EQ

Tonal shaping

Multiband Compressor

Per-band dynamics

Booster

Final loudness gain

Output

Only if this channel is "main"

AudioAnalyzer

Taps the same buffer in parallel and always runs — the chain above stays bypassed until you switch this channel to "main," but the measurement never stops.

What gets measured

Five numbers, recomputed continuously.

RMS

Average signal energy over the buffer — the closest single number to "how loud does this actually feel."

Peak

The single highest sample in the buffer — how close you are to clipping right now.

Crest factor

Peak minus RMS. A low crest factor usually means something upstream is already squashing dynamics.

Spectral centroid

The "center of mass" of the frequency content — a rough proxy for how bright or dark the signal reads.

Band energy

Signal energy split into low/mid/high bands, so a recommendation can target one range instead of the whole mix.

The catalog constraint

It can only recommend what's actually in this list.

The reasoning backend is prompted with your measurements plus a curated catalog of real, free plugins — a sample of it is below. It has no path to inventing a plugin that doesn't exist.

DAW stock-plugin coverage

It can also point at what you already own.

If your DAW's stock plugins are mapped, recommendations can name those directly instead of sending you shopping.

Data flow

What actually leaves your machine.

Leaves your machine

  • RMS, peak, crest factor, spectral centroid, band energy
  • Your typed target description ("tighter low end," a genre, a reference)
  • Your DAW name, for matching against its stock bundle

Never leaves your machine

  • The raw audio itself, in any form
  • Anything from channels not currently in a chat session
  • Project files, sample content, or track names

That's the whole architecture. Want to try it once there's a build?
